Twin-Wall Sheets

SIMONA® AG has unveiled its new second generation Twin-Wall Sheets, which are supplied in SIMONA PE, PP, PPs and PP-C-UV. The sheet combines rigidity and stability with a lightweight design.

The second generation sheets are available with a variable number of web elements and in a range of sheet thicknesses. As a result, the sheet is suitable for applications that have to meet higher load requirements. The new sheets can also be used for the construction of rectangular plastic tanks with a volume of more than 5 m³; sizes of more than 10 m³ can be achieved if interior tie rods are used. Until now, producing tanks of this size was not possible without the use of steel components. Additionally, the sheet provides high levels of thermal insulation, as well as offering good chemical resistance. The sheets are easily fabricated and can be welded, saw cut, bolted, milled or turned.

The new sheets can be used for a wide range of applications, such as the construction of equipment, tanks and machines, as wall and ceiling panels, sound barriers, for applications in the field of environmental and agricultural technology and as covers for swimming pools.
