Convention Focuses on Growth Opportunities
The time has come to move beyond survival to growth —
to refocus on the future. That’s the message of the IAPD
(International Association of Plastics Distribution) 53rd
Annual Convention & Exhibition, October 20 to 23 in Las
Vegas. More than 700 plastics distribution and manufacturing
professionals are expected to attend this business critical
event.
Futurist Daniel Burrus will set the tone with his keynote
presentation by sharing his perspective on the real growth
opportunities for the plastics industry. He will discuss
potential new markets, applications and customers for
plastics based on hard and soft trends, as well as permanent
and cyclical changes in the industry.
Keynote speaker economist Alan Beaulieu will narrow
the focus to the economic outlook. He’ll address burning
questions on issues such as economic growth, inflation
trends, the stock market as a business indicator and the
impact of corporate production facilities moving overseas.
Other topics to be addressed at the 2009 IAPD
Convention & Exhibition include: what it means to “be
green” in the manufacture and distribution of industrial
plastics, the growing interest in bioplastics, plastics applications
and effective sales prospecting.
The IAPD Plastics Exhibition will be held Friday,
October 23. This unique show targets the entire plastics
distribution community. It’s the ideal opportunity to experience
the best of the plastics stock shapes and pipe,
valves and fittings distribution industry.
