Furthering the Functionality of UHMW-PE

Fluoron has been working with UHMW-PE for years. They’ve been selling tubing and heat shrinkable tubing of UHMW-PE in 0.060” thickness and have now turned their attention to working with thicker UHMW. As the result of an intensive five-month project, Fluoron has developed the capability to weld UHMW-PE sheet in thicknesses up to 3/8" into tubes up to 12" in diameter. These tubes can be welded together to create any length. Expanding capabilities in heat shrinkable tubing.

Fluoron was also recently contracted for a project to make other extruded tubing heat shrinkable. They successfully developed a process to make very long lengths of another manufacturer’s extruded tubing heat shrinkable.
