State of the Business Survey
Business Answers International (BAI) announced the availability of data from a new State of the Business Survey. The purpose of the survey is to provide manufacturers and distributors with a comprehensive understanding of the plastic distribution business for the first half of 2009, expectations for the second half of 2009 and what plastic shapes Senior and Branch Managers think of the current and future business climate. The survey includes data on sales, gross margins, profits, actions taken for expense reductions, changes in staffing levels, capital equipment purchases, average days receivable and payment defaults. It also includes opinions concerning which manufacturers are performing well or underperforming, market segments with the greatest declines, optimism/pessimism about an industry turnaround and possible timing of a turn around.
