Jamboree

Last weekend, my son and I had the opportunity to attend the Great Lakes Centennial Jamboree in Oshkosh, Wisconsin kicking-off the 100th anniversary of Boy Scouts. There were over 10,000 scouters of all ages. There was also a number of Wisconsin National Guardsmen exhibiting a variety of trucks, armored Humvees, a rocket launcher and two Blackhawk helicopters for the scouts to explore. We talked with many of the Guardsmen and weÕre impressed with every one. Their eagerness to serve our country and defend our freedom was apparent in the way they carried themselves, spoke and interacted with the scouts.

With the anniversary of September 11, 2001 having just past, we want to again take an opportunity to thank all the men and women of the armed services, as well as our police and fire fighters, for their tireless service.

We know itÕs only October and we have a holiday cover but this SeasonÕs Greetings Stunner was such a great tie-in to our spotlight this month, we could not pass it up. In the worlds of entertainment, hotel and casino design and corporate branding, bigger is always better. Designers and promoters want ÒPop!Ó and ÒWow!Ó.
