Protective Display for Titanic Coal
INVISTA’s PERFORMA™ film and sheet
is being used to encase coal from the
Titanic, which is now available to the
general public for purchase. The clear
APET sheet creates a durable package
that, when combined with the glossy
paperboard
mounting
base
embellished
with
metallic
ink,
resembles
a miniature
version
of the display cases used in museums
and galleries.
The coal is owned by the corporation
responsible for salvaging the ship, RMS Titanic Inc., and, according to RMS Titanic Inc., is the only
authentic Titanic artifact available for purchase. RMS
Titanic, Inc. works with Premier Exhibitions to display the
extensive collection of Titanic artifacts currently touring
North America.
PERFORMA™ film and sheet is known for clarity, consistency
and easy processing. It is manufactured using
INVISTA’s PET resin. INVISTA has a long-standing reputation
in the industry for providing quality PET resins, leaving
no guesswork for end-users in need of a reliable product.
Customers enjoy a customized order process that
allows them to purchase a variety of film from a single
supplier.
