Palram Celebrates New Polycarbonate Line
Palram Americas, a leading manufacturer of polycarbonate
and PVC sheets, celebrated the grand opening of Line 44,
a new state-of-the-art polycarbonate line, with a two-day
event on April 30 and May1. This new line will add the ability
to produce optical, security and containment grade
products and sheets or coils up to 104" wide untrimmed.
Palram began the celebration with a cocktail reception
and dinner at the Hotel Bethlehem on April 30. Various
products made from polycarbonate were placed in a grand
display. On May 1, guests were then treated to breakfast
and an informative presentation at the Hotel Bethlehem on
the history of Palram, plans for the future, and the capabilities
and potential directions for growth with Line 44.
Guests
were then
transported
to Palram
Americas in
Kutztown,
PA for the
ribbon-cutting
ceremony,
luncheon
and tour. A
toast was given while Matt Ehrig, Project Engineer at
Palram Americas, cut the ribbon flanked by Ron Dvir (left)
and Mike Howser (right). During lunch, U. S.
Representative Charlie Dent arrived and spoke on the
value of Palram as a local employer.
Capabilities of this latest addition include up to 15mm
thick general purpose polycarbonate sheet, co-extruded
UV (1 or 2 sides), sign-grade sheets and coils, clear, whites
and colors, fire-rated sheets and high optics sheets.
