Self-Lubricating Materials
Nylatech's Self-Lubricating materials are offered for applications where maintenance lubrication is difficult or impossible.

Nylatech offers four grades that have been formulated to work optimally for general purpose, FDA, high-load, and increased wear and/or abrasion applications.

NYLATECH® OIL offers a low coefficient of friction, reduced “slip-stick”, low moisture adsorption, reduced or eliminated need for lubrication and limiting PV = 4,000 psi · fpm. NYLATECH® NATURAL-OIL for food contact applications is FDA and USDA approved. NYLATECH® MD-OIL offers higher compressive strength, increased load bearing capacity. improved dimensional stability, low coefficient of friction, reduced moisture adsorption, improved machinability, limiting PV = 5,500 psi · fpm. NYLATECH® NYTHANE OIL for more demanding applications offers increased wear, moisture and increased abrasion.
