Anniversaries

This issue marks twenty-one years at PD&F Magazine. My work allows me the opportunity to talk to distributers and fabricators every week. This is a fascinating industry that continues to see growth through innovations in materials and machinery. Materials, like those featured in this issue, open up new markets and applications for plastic parts and components. Machinery manufacturers also continue to aid that expansion through new technology that increases productivity and the quality of your fabricated parts.

This issue marks his issue also features our 23rd Nylon & Acetal Shapes editorial spotlight. Nylon and acetal are versatile, easy to fabricate and continue to find new applications and new industries to serve, due in part to, their wide range of properties. From medical to food and agricultural applications, the high strength and endurance of these materials make them ideal for all kinds of jobs. Our Spotlight features a product showcase plus listings of the standard and custom shapes offered by leading manufacturers along with a Supplier Directory.

And when it comes to the News and New Products for plastics distributors and fabricators, we have that too. From mergers and acquisitions to new products that will make your shop more competitive, we have that and more.

Finally, in “Safety Solutions”, Jack asks “Does OSHA Cite Employers Equally?” The simple answer is no. If you view their website you will see that in many ways OSHA picks on smaller employers and levies higher penalties while big well-known companies get away with either no penalties or very low penalties for the same hazardous conditions.

If you or your company need assistance with a safety related matter, Jack would be happy to help. As a reader of PD&F Magazine he is available for an initial consultation and can be reached via email at jpodojil@podojilconsulting.com. Whether it’s to discuss your safety program or a wide range of topics, Jack has over 40 years of experience in industrial safety.

I look forward to many more years of bringing you the news, new products and information you need to stay current and competitive. You can find additional resources by searching our websitet. You can also contact our advertisers and manage your subscription through our online eReader Service.

Enjoy the issue,
