CNC Edge Polishing
Eliminate the finishing
of edges by
hand with the latest
in CNC polishing
technology.
The EURACRYL
ABP 310 Edge
Polisher can produce
flat edges
from a matte finish
to high gloss polish on acrylics, polycarbonates, and
visual plastics, and also chamfer edges.
Stiles Machinery’s EURACRYL ABP 310 machines are
CNC-controlled edge polishers for manufacturing components
made of plastics, including acrylic. It’s designed to
eliminate manual labor; the machine brings value as a
standalone machine or a component of a work cell.
The EURACRYL ABP 310 frame is integrated with
patented SorbTech mineral composite material. This
“steel of tomorrow” is capable of withstanding the
increased demand on machine dynamics while providing a
low vibration, stable machine construction – resulting in
higher quality finished parts, longer tool life, and less
manual labor.
The machine features a 10' working field. The openended
table design of the ABP 310 allows for machining
of parts longer than 10' (in 2 cycles). Parts can be stacked
up to the maximum processing height of the machine, further
enhancing the efficiency and throughput of the
machine.

Increased Z-Axis
Diversified Machine Systems (DMS), an OEM in Colorado Springs, Colorado will showcase cutting-edge woodworking technology and innovative designs at AWFS 2019 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
DMS with display their subsidiary brand Freedom Machine Tool (FMT). This will be the company’s sixth year attending the show.
DMS will showcase their FMT Patriot 5x10 Plus CNC machine that is changing the game when it comes to rigidity and versatility. This machine offers up to 15” in Z-axis travel, unlike FMT’s traditional 5x10 machine.
The Plus model was specifically introduced to accommodate customers’ need for a machine with an increased Z-axis for larger projects. Additionally, the 5x10 Plus machine has a unique bridge that is from their D3 machines. With a heavier bridge means an increased Z axis clearance without sacrificing rigidity or quality.
The 5x10 FMT Plus machine is ideal for shops looking to expand their capabilities and improve throughput. The FMT Plus is available with either 10” or 15” of Z-axis travel and features an all-steel frame, precision motion components, absolute encoders, and includes a one-year free subscription to Autodesk ArtCAM software.
FMT product line was founded to address a need to the market for cost-effective, industrial-grade, three-axis CNC machining solutions. Each FMT router is built with industrial components that perform.
“DMS is excited to debut some advanced FMT Patriot machine options and features at the upcoming show,” said Ed Hilligrass, CSO/CMO at DMS. “These features will elevate the FMT product line, and we look forward to displaying these enhanced productivity options.”
DMS offers a variety of CNC router solutions and would be happy to discuss your production challenges.

Coated CNC Router Bits
Amana Tool, a producer of industrial quality carbide-tipped,
solid carbide and replacement carbide cutting
tools, recently introduced their Spektra™ extreme tool life
coated CNC router bit line.
Their Spektra bits feature a nACo® nanocomposite coating
with an extreme Nano hardness and heat resistance.
With a brilliant distinctively-tinted coloring, nACo provides
additional improvements in four critical aspects of
router tooling.
nACo coating is a micro-thin ceramic coating which
enables the tool's cutting edge to retain crucial sharpness
and lubricity. This provides longevity and produces
cutting results of the highest quality. The coating also
prevents high heat and oxidation, which is detrimental to
cutting tool performance. The multi-colored hues, while
attractive, will dissipate upon use and yet coating will
remain fully effective.
nACo offers approximately 4,500 Vickers for impressive solid hardness on cutting areas of
the tool, for an increase up to 2.5
times the life compared to uncoated
bits.
The range of tools is aimed at use in
the high production wood and plastics
industries. Featured are solid carbide
compression spirals for use on wood,
wood veneer, plywood, MDF and laminates.
Also offered are solid carbide
“O’ flute tools for use on acrylic
(Plexiglas® Lucite®) and many other
plastic materials. The tools are available
in a variety of sizes. The compression
tools are also offered in a 5-
piece set.

Driverless Machining Center
CNC
Factory’s
new 2019
Python XPR
is considered
a fully
loaded “driverless”
machining
center that
does the thinking for the end-user in the plastic industry.
Featuring significant technological updates this machine
epitomizes the concept of Industry 4.0. Now, the 2019
Python XPR models will feature third generation robotic
loading with spoil board self-cleaning, hands-free robotic
labeling and printing, laser measuring for precise depthcutting,
and part-marking for post-production processes.
Company owner Chris Corrales says he designed the
machine for profitability, speed and ease of use, and with
custom builds, we can tackle any thickness of plastic
material.
“With only 15 minutes of safety training you are ready
to go and as the parts come out, they tell you exactly what
needs to happen with them. The learning curve of two
months and having a dedicated operator that needs specific
knowledge for operation is now a thing of the past for
third generation machines,” said Corrales.
Features includ a 12 hp HSD air-cooled spindle, 12-tool
rapid fire rotary tool changer that changes tools in four
seconds, direct helical rack and pinion gearing, and a dual
layer high flow vacuum system. It operates in both manual
and robotic mode and has robotic loading and unloading
to eliminate heavy lifting.
All features are controlled with one monitor. An intuitive
vacuum hold and position system alerts operators when
the vacuum is not ready.
The Driverless Python XPR has a base price of $74,900
for the 4x8 model and is available in larger and customized
table sizes. All sales include CNC Factory
University training and life-long customer support.
