Playboards for Toddlers & Special Needs Children
King Plastic Corporation, a leading manufacturer of polymer
sheets, slabs and massive shapes announced that its
popular brand, King ColorCore®, is being discovered in toy
applications for toddlers and special needs children,
thanks to a Minneapolis 501(c)(3) charitable organization,
Playtime Tech.
For over 50 years, King Plastic’s innovations, combined
with its customers’ imaginations, have led to the creation
of entirely new categories of applications including
Playtime Tech’s large interactive Playboards, which are
mounted on walls in children’s hospitals and other institutions.
Playtime Tech also donates smaller hand-held
Playboards which cultivate fine motor skills and foster
cognitive development in toddlers and children with special
needs.
“We are very excited to see an amazing application
made from our material,” said Michael Fabbri, National
Sales Manager at King Plastic Corporation.
“We’re
thrilled to have
the enthusiasm
and support of
King Plastic,”
said Dave
Graff, Founder
and Board
Chairman at
Playtime Tech.
“I reached out
to the executive
team at King Plastic, who from our research would be
the ideal company to potentially come alongside Playtime
Tech to help put together a best in class product. King has
been fabulous in working with us to get these interactive
Playboards into institutions serving toddlers and special
needs children. The interactive Playboards have been a
powerful means to help patients or siblings visiting their
brothers/sisters in children’s’ hospitals, Shriners Hospitals
and Ronald McDonald Houses across the Unites States.”
The 33” x 23” interactive
wall-mounted Playboards are
made with King ColorBoard®,
a colorful environmentally stabilized
high-density polyethylene
sheet. The polymer sheet
never needs painting or refinishing,
works like wood and it
is easy to fabricate using common
woodworking tools and
techniques.
The 11” x 9” interactive portable Playboards are made
with King ColorCore®, the
multi-color engravable polymer
sheet. It is a superior homogeneous sheet, a product
of a unique state-of-the-art continuous process called
Polyfusion, and manufactured to the highest standards in
the industry. It is environmentally stabilized to withstand
the harshest outdoor conditions. The material will not
rust, delaminate or rot when exposed to UV, humidity or
water. The thin cap layers and bright primary colors make
it ideal for signage, marine, playground and recreational
applications.
