Compared to the original, Flex-Fold 2(TM) provides a 50% improvement in clarity, a 30% slimmer profile, and a sleek tapered design to greatly enhance the look and feel of acrylic fabricated products. Also, flatter cementing surfaces make Flex-Fold 2(TM) easier and faster to apply. The rigid extrusions on the sides are now solid rather than hollow, are permanently bonded to the flexible center section, and end caps are no longer required. The Flex-Fold 2(TM) is co-extruded from high-impact acrylic and a tough urethane elastomer, and resists both harsh environments and sunlight. These materials are UV stable and provide excellent all-weather performance in extreme climates from tropical heat to Arctic cold. The hinge is recommended for bulk food bins, pastry cases, golf cart windshields, outdoor literature boxes, displays, safety shields, exhibits, laboratory apparatus plus a variety of other applications.
