COMPANY SELLS MULTI-WALL SHEET DIVISION
Replex Plastics announced the sale of it's multi-wall polycarbonate distribution business to Jain Irrigations Systems, Inc., JISI. Replex had been in the business of purchasing and distributing multi-wall polycarbonate sheet along with the manufacturing and distribution of their mirror products. "This transaction is very beneficial to both companies," says Matt Houlihan, CEO of Replex Plastics, "Our corporate strategy calls for the vertical integration of our manufacturing business, mirror products, through the acquisition of sheet extrusion equipment. JISI Managing Director, Mr. Anil Jain, concurs, "Managing the marketing and sales of our polycarbonate products allows us greater cost efficiencies, competitiveness, and market penetration. It compliments our existing U.S. operation." Replex Plastics will continue to manufacture and market their complete line of mirror products. JISI will market the multi-wall polycarbonate sheet nuder the trade name "Excel."
