JOINT VENTURE IN BRAZIL
Poly-Hi Solidur, Inc. and Day Brasil S.A. have formed a joint venture that will acquire the manufacturing arm of Day Brasil, producing UHMW, polypropylene and PTFE. Day Brasil will retain its separate distribution operation based in Sao Paulo and continue to handle products for the new company. "We have invested in market development for a number of years in Brazil and Latin America. We see a great deal of growth potential for UHMW," states Dale Mosier, Poly Hi Solidur President, "With increased manufacturing and distribution options, this joint venture will give us a stronger, more effective presence in Brazil and all of South America."
