DIGITAL-IMAGING SIGNAGE
Transilwrap Company, Inc. has introduced a thermal laminating film with an acrylic, pressure-sensitive adhesive for the fast-growing digital imaging marketplace.
DIGIKote L.P.S. allows a two-stage process -- laminating a printed substrate and applying a pressure-sensitive adhesive to one side -- to be reduced to one simple step, making the process more efficient and more economical.
"With DIGIKote L.P.S., you don't have to run your print or poster through a second machine after the thermal laminator, because a permanent, pressure-sensitive adhesive and its release liner are added while you're doing your laminating," says Chuck Kohn, Business Manager for manufacturing at Transilwrap.
Ideal for prints, posters and other point-of-purchase or promotional signage that must be mounted, DIGIKote L.P.S. is an extension of the company's line of high-tech thermal laminating films. The line is designed specifically for standard and wide-format digital paper output from ink-jet, electrostatic, laser, thermal transfer and dye-sublimation printers, and from other reproduction systems, such as Indigo and Xeicon.
