THERMOFORMED BOTTLE PACKAGING
Eastman Chemical Company's Eastar(r) PETG copolyester is being used as the new raw material for a highly innovative and original gift packaging for bottles created by the French company, Eurepak.
Eurepak has created a box, known as the "Crystal Case," out of a single thermoformed piece with four vertical walls, ingeniously cast to support the target product.
Eurepak also uses Eastar PETG copolyester to make a special fastening device at the top and bottom of the packaging that allows quick access to the bottle.
"Eastar PETG copolyester attracted us because of its clear transparency -- this is the first time we created something with thermoforming that is extremely clear," says Eurepak Director, Claude Martin. "This copolyester gives a feel of quality to the packaging, yet it is a very cost-effective raw material," Martin added.
