Metlsaw has introduced its Plastisaw CS514-T6 Plastic Cutting System. The system is fully automated and can be in full production -- installation completed and employees trained -- within 90 days and a company can expect a production increase of 35% to 65%. The systems rapid speed production plate saw cuts with precision tolerances to +/- .003 in., thus eliminating the need for subsequent polishing or machining of cut surfaces, and not requiring a secondary finishing process. Cutting acrylic, nylons, Delrin, Vespel, G-10, G-30 and many other materials can continuously, without gumming, handle a variety of loads, from plate 60 inches x 240 inches long all the way to round tubes up to 6 inches in diameter. The system is operated by an Allen-Bradley touch-screen computer, which allows control of the entire operation from one location. All Metlsaw cutting systems are designed for front, side or top loading. While allowing for continuous cutting, the rollers that load do not mar or otherwise damage plastic materials.
