SHEET LINING PROCESS
To protect tanks and vessels from the highly corrosive and ultra-pure chemicals they are transporting, 3P has developed a bonding process for applying a fluoropolymer sheet lining to the interior surface of the containers. According to Robert Schriefer, Product Manager/Lined Tanks and Vessels at 3P, "This unique bonding process allows us to reduce the number of welded seams on the lined surface. Less welded seams means a more reliable product, and minimizes the potential for liner failure."
Fluoropolymer sheets are available in 2 mm and 3 mm thicknesses and come in a range of materials including PTFE, PVDF, HDPE and PFA.
3P can either supply containers lined to a customer's specifications, or it can line customer-supplied containers in sizes ranging from 5 to 10,000 gallon capacity and have clean room fabrication capabilities.
