HAND HELD ULTRASONIC PLASTICS WELDERS
Sonics & Materials has introduced two totally redesigned 20 kHz hand held ultrasonic plastics welders featuring higher amplitude output for faster welding of thermoplastics. The hand held welders are offered in 200 watt (H-201) and 500 watt (H-501) models. Typical uses of the solid state units include a wide range of welding, spot welding, insertion and staking applications. The compact, portable welders are also particularly suited for hard-to-reach joining surfaces. The entire unit, including power supply, weighs just 15 lbs. The ruggedly constructed, yet lightweight, new models are ideally suited for multiple assembly environments without the need for moving heavy equipment. The built-in horn features a threaded end which can be fitted with a series of replaceable tips in a kit which includes flat tips, tips for inserting, staking and spot welding, male knurled coarse and fine tips, and six oversized tips that can be machined to meet the specifications and requirements of the user's particular application.
