DUAL-ACTUATOR FOR ULTRASONIC WELDING
Herrmann Ultrasonics announced its new Dual-Actuator for the ultrasonic welding of all thermoplastic parts, films, and fabrics. The configuration has advantages over other conventional types of ultrasonic welding equipment; its unique and innovative design offers the ability to weld large and complex parts as well as improve the overall potential for increased thruput. The principle of the design is based on the use of two synchronized converters to provide a more even amplitude distribution over a large single weld area. Ideal areas of application include the packaging and sealing of films, foils and fabrics as well as large and intricate thermoplastic parts. Circle No. 99.
