CARTRIDGE ADHESIVES
IPS Corporation, manufacturer of Weld-On(r) adhesives, will introduce several product innovations for the sign industry. The company's new, easy-to-use adhesive cartridge, is a VOC-free, epoxy-based adhesive called Weld-On(r) 56, which is recommended for bonding high-density polyurethane foam such as "Sign Foam," and also for bonding rigid materials such as PVC, unanodized aluminum, brass and steel to themselves. It comes packaged for immediate use in a cartridge, and when equipped with a static mixing tip, it automatically mixes the exact proportions of catalyst and resin while dispensing takes place. Weld-On(r) 40 acrylic cement is now available in 230-mL, 10:1 cartridges for use with a two-component dispensing gun and static mixing tip. Called Weld-On(r) 42, this latest formulation delivers the same clear, high quality seams and outstanding clarity, but with the additional benefits made possible by the easy to use dispenser. Another VOC-free adhesive formulation now available in an easy-to-use cartridge is Weld-On(r) 55, the industry's most reliable adhesive for bonding polycarbonate to butyrate.
