WHITE & BLACK THICK FOAM
In May, adding to its sheet products line, Alusuisse Composites, Inc. introduced three new variations of its Sintrex material, highlighting an industry trend toward foamboard diversification. The company introduced: 1/2" white, 1/2" black and 3/16" black as additions to the original offering of 3/16" white. The products are lightweight but rigid boards of extruded polystyrene foam laminated between two cap sheets of solid polystyrene. The cap sheets are litho grade, high-impact polystyrene which provides excellent printability. Sintrex material is more resistant to moisture than generic paper-lined foamboards, which may suffer warpage and other damage when exposed to water or excessive humidity. In contrast to other products of its type, this material is continuously produced. The material is recommended primarily for indoor use in a wide range of applications, including signage, screen printing, vinyl film applications, exhibits, point-of-purchase displays, models, visual merchandising and photo mounting.
