IMPACT MODIFIED ACRYLIC FILMS
Rowland Technologies produces Impact Modified Acrylic (IMA) film using Plexiglas(r)-DR(r) resin from Elf Atochem N.A. Water clear, opaque or trans-parent colors are available along with a variety of selected textures, in thickness of 0.005" thru 0.060".
IMA offers several distinct qualities such as toughness, UV resistance, weatherability, transparency, good chemical resistance, ease of fabrication, and seven to ten times the falling dart impact strength of conventional acrylic. This toughness provides for increased resistance to breakage in rugged service applications, fabrication, mechanical assemblies, and insert molding and offers design flexibility and ease of printing.
IMA is easily die-cut to extremely close tolerance and thermoformed to crisp molded parts. IMA films are ideally suited for In-Mold Decorating.
