NEW TUBING AND TUBE FITTINGS
These Flair-It(tm) fittings take the fuss and fumbling out of plumbing installations and offer the simplest, most reliable fitting connection. Just cut the tubing, insert onto the fitting, tighten the nut, and tools are rarely needed. The tubing and fittings are designed for the do-it-yourselfer's eventual applications. The Flexpex tubing, made of cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) provides outstanding benefits for this market. The tubing bends easily around corners, eliminating most fitting connections for fast, trouble-free installation. A 1/2" tube can achieve a bend radius as tight as 3-1/2". The tubing withstands freezing and the tube actually gets stronger as the temperature gets colder, and has been tested to withstand freezing down to -95° F. It repairs easily and should the tube ever need thawing or if it has been badly crimped, simply apply heat using a heat gun, which will not weaken the tube, but instead brings it back to its original shape.
