ILLUMINATED ACRYLIC PRISM
Commercial Plastics & Supply Corp. announced the addition of Prismex Illumination System (a patented illumination system) that has never before been possible with thin signage. The system's acrylic panels are only 3/8" thick, allowing signage to be manufactured as thin as two inches. The system works on the principle of light reflection and refraction, resulting in a crystal-clear, sharp image. The effect is achieved by the application of a patented process to ICI's acrylic sheet, which becomes a prism. When light is projected from the edges of the sign, the engineered prism allows for even illumination of the sign graphic. The system offers numerous benefits including cost savings, no hot spots, design flexibility, energy efficiency and extended graphic use. It is perfect for ink jet prints, vinyls, duratrans, photographs, screenprints, paper posters and more.
