4-1/2" THICK ACRYLIC TUNNEL
Reynolds Polymer Technology, a manufacturer of acrylic windows for the world's major aquariums, is located in the middle of a "desertlike environment." They are one of only three companies in the world who have developed a manufacturing process which produces very thick panels for aquarium displays. Manufactured out of acrylic in thicknesses up to 4-1/2", the panels are noted for the refraction-free and distortion-free quality. The manufacturing process has included the manufacture of a curved acrylic panel for the Open Ocean Tunnel at the Long Beach, California Aquarium of the Pacific. This tunnel is 405" long with an arch length of 122" and an acrylic thickness of 4-1/2". The company was recently awarded the contract to produce panels for the Colorado Ocean Journeys, an aquarium under construction in Denver.
