LARGE BORE PIPE
PPD/Krah Pipe Development Co. entered into a development agreement to build several HDPE Large Bore pipe plants in North America, and South America. Their new technology consist of patents for an intergrated electro fusion join, and is the answer for large diameter HDPE pipe. Size range will be 300mm (12" up to 4000mm (157" coming in 20' lengths with an intergrated electro fusion joint. During pipe production the wires are intergrated into the socket bell. At the installation site the spigot end and bell end is put together and welded with a special electro fusion welding device. Welding in narrow trench has been made possible with Krah technology. Both solid wall pipe and profiled pipe will be produced in HDPE, and PP non flammable polypropylene.
