EUROPEAN EXTRUDER LOOKS TO EXPAND
It has been reported that Ireland-based Barlo Plastics Europe NV, one of Europe's largest plastics sheet extruders, is seeking to expand by acquisition. DSM's Belgium-based Axxis NV and their American extruding firm, Sheffield Plastics, are possible targets for Barlo. The company's product line includes the former BASF acrylic and polycarbonate sheet operations, and styrene and PET sheet operations in various plants throughout Europe.
