FOAM PLANKS FABRICATE EASILY
Astro-Lam(r) Plus composite "plank" structure from Tenneco Packaging -- AVI, offers protection coupled with superior fabricating (die-cutting, heat-sealing, sawing, etc.) capability. It is made from 1/2-inch layers of polyethylene Astro-Foam(r) core laminated together, accompanied by a high-density polyethylene laminated skin on one or both facings. The laminated skin is puncture resistant, reduces abrasion, assists in fabricating and offers improved aesthetics. The skin can also act as a hinge when the structure is die-cut. Astro-Lam(r) Plus composite plank can be produced in a variety of gauges and densities depending on performance requirements. It is supplied in "planks" 48-inches wide and 108-inches in length. The product is ideal for the fabrication of end caps, product flotation devices, protective carriers for electronic devices and other protective packaging uses.
