NC VERIFICATION SOFTWARE
CGTech announced the release of Vericut 4.0 which includes the latest breakthrough in NC verification software - full material removal during machine tool simulation.
Vericut is software that enables users to virtually eliminate the process of manually proving-out NC programs by simulating the material removal process on a computer. The program uses G-codes and CAM output to simulate milling, drilling, turning, wire EDM, and mill/turn machining operations.
4-axis synchronized turning (also known as "merged turning") is supported. CGTech's comprehensive 3D collision-checking is applied to the in-process material as it is machined. This is useful for detecting interference between the machined part and tool holders, boring bars, tool blocks, turrets, and other machine components, in addition to standard collision checking between machine components. The software simulates any cutter, holder, or component shape in true 3D geometry during turning operations.
