PIPE MANUFACTURERS EXPAND
Georg Fischer Corp. made two recent acquisitions: they bought German pipe manufacturer Deutsche Kapillar-Plastik (aka Deka) and WavinAG of Switzerland. SoVay SA joint venture is buying pipe maker Mabo Hydro which operates ten plants in five countries including the Baltic area and Poland. Eagle Pacifics bought the pipe business unit of Lamson and Sessions and the PVC compounding facilities. Charlotte Pipe & Foundry is reportedly looking for a manufacturing location in Florida.
