HAND-HELD ROUTER KIT
Porter-Cable announced model 693PK router kit offers end-users both a plunge router and a standard router in one. The kit includes Porter-Cable's 690 series 1-1/2 HP, 10 Amp router motor (23,000 rpm's). Also included in the kit are the model 1001 fixed base, the model 6931 plunge base, a plastic carrying case, a 1/4" collet, a 1/2" collet, 2 collet wrenches and an operator's manual. The fixed base features a micrometer depth-of-cut adjustment, a new auto-release collet system, and the ability to accept 1/2", 1/4" and 3/8" collets. The kit's plunge base offers a 2-1/2" plunge range with fully enclosed springs, a depth rod and 6-position step turret.
