Ferry Industries Inc., a builder of rotational molding machines, has purchased a router maker to make Ferry's new Quintax brand of routers. Canton Industrial Systems will become part of a new Ferry subsidiary, Quintax Inc.
Their new 3- and 5-axis CNC routing machines allow fast and accurate trimming, routing and shaping of plastics and composites. The routers feature Fagor or Allen Bradley CNC controls, automatic lubrication, a table-mounted control station and an operator podium mounted on casters for operator convenience and to save floor space. Spindles can be programmed to turn from 3,000 to 24,000 rpm for fast, clean cutting. A computer-controlled fast-acting tool changer is available for up to 16 tools.
Single-table routers are available in 5' x 5' or 6' x 6' sizes, and double-table models are also available.
