HIGH-PURITY POLYIMIDE PLATE

Pyropel HD is a high-purity thermoset polyimide machining stock ideal for the manufacture of parts subjected to high temperatures or chemical attack. With temperature resistance to 550° F, the material exceeds the upper continuous use temperature limits of engineering grade thermoplastics and is comparable to other thermoset polyimides. Yet it costs up to 40% less.

The material meets the outgassing and ionic purity standards required of engineering materials used in the semiconductor industry.

It is available in standard 12" x 12" plates in thicknesses up to 1". Typical applications include: exhaust and clamp rings for semiconductor processing; soldering fixtures; high-pressure thermal spacers in plastic processing equipment; rotor and vane tips for gas turbines; and valve parts, seals, and manifolds.
