Carter Products Company's PatternPro System is proving to be a major advancement in the field of laser guide line alignment that simplifies part and fixture positioning. It saves time, cuts cost, and adds efficiency to the production process. Systems of this kind have proven successful and are already in wide use in Europe.

Mounted over the work surface of a CNC router or other machine, the unit provides an exact outline drawing of the part to be processed, projected in a sharp red laser line at a scale of 1:1. This enables the operator to plan the area of the surface required, position workholding fixtures on the router bed and locate part blanks accurately prior to processing.

Duplicating the image programmed into the computer and transferring it directly to the workbed of the router in precise detail in actual size eliminates the tedious step of plotting drawings on paper, then manually repositioning those dimensions onto the work surface through measuring and marking.
