INEOS ACRYLICS LAUNCHED

A new global chemicals company was created as the UK-based Ineos Group and Charterhouse Development Capital completed the acquisition of ICI Acrylics for $837million. The new company will formally be known as Ineos Acrylics.

They are a leading producer of methyl methacrylate, which is the foundation for a wide range of acrylic products, and are used in applications from coatings, paints, appliances, electronics, adhesives and corporate imaging, through to baths, spas, kitchen work surfaces and construction. Their business portfolio also includes the 'LUCITE' and 'PERSPEX' brands.
