ABRASIVE ENVIRONMENT
Brick manufacturing plants experience wearing and sticking problems throughout various stages of their production. The clay is extremely moist and very abrasive. In one of the initial processes it is conveyed on belts through sifting and purifying processes and then discharged into hoppers. Polystone®M sheet has proved to eliminate sticking and bridging problems experienced in these hoppers. The liner allows a continuous flow of product and eliminates a procedure where the worker regularly has to check and clean the hoppers. The material is also implemented extensively as wear strips and pads underneath the conveyor belts that are used from the beginning to the end of the manufacturing process.
In certain stages of production where the clay is extremely moist, plant and maintenance engineers have searched for a liner with even better non-stick qualities. The solution was our Polystone®M-Slide, which is designed with increased lubricity and an even lower coefficient of friction. These enhanced properties have proved to further eliminate sticking problems in the worst areas.
