PTFE FLEXIBLE DUCTING
A new, proprietary, flexible ducting material that resists chemical attack and will not contaminate flow, is being introduced by Textiles Coated International (TCI) of Amherst, New Hampshire. They manufacture PTFE composites and laminates for corrosive, high temperature, industrial service.
CHEMDUIT is a two ply laminate that encapsulates a rugged steel spring or PTFE rod with LFP™ Industrial Product. The LFP laminate is a patented material that, unlike other PTFE materials, has excellent flexing and tear resistance capability while maintaining zero porosity. It lasts over 50 times longer than all other PTFE alternatives in flex tests.
Contamination is eliminated since PTFE is the only material that comes in contact with the environment. With its excellent nonflammability characteristics, the ducting is ideal for cleanroom facilities and challenging chemical environments. Good to temperatures up to 500° F., it comes in many product grades and colors.
