SAWBLADE ALIGNMENT DEVICES
MasterGage Corporation announced two innovative new products for aligning a table saw's blade, rip fence or miter gauge.
Experienced fabricators and machine operators immediately recognize the MasterPlate as the missing element in saw set up and alignment. Traditionally, machine operators have used the saw blade to set up their equipment. Unfortunately, saw blades are designed for cutting -- not for calibrating the saw system.
The MasterPlate is a 1/4" thick, high-grade "toolmakers quality" aluminum plate, ground flat and parallel with both 5/8 and 1.0 inch arbor mounting holes. To align and calibrate your table saw, simple replace your blade with the device. It provides a full 10 inches of flat, unobstructed surface for calibration and alignment along the horizontal axis and almost 7 inches of alignment surface when mounted vertically.
The SuperBar, and its precision dial indicator, provides the precise readings (to one thousandths of an inch [1/000]) necessary to accurately align table saws. The bar uses an innovative, spring loaded adjustment mechanism to accommodate miter slot wear and machining variations, ensuring a perfect fit in all standard 3/8" x 3/4" miter slots. Now you can align the saw blade, rip fence and miter gauge to the miter slot within thousandths of an inch! The bar may also be used to check the saw arbor shaft and arbor flange for run out, a leading cause of poor performance, and an early indicator of bearing deterioration.
