Expanded HDPE Line
SIMONA AMERICA Group has introduced the latest color addition to the Polygrain® HDPE sheet line, Tunkhannock Teak. Polygrain is a weatherproof HDPE polymer sheet with a sophisticated wood-like grain and texture that inspires innovation for high-end and heavily used outdoor living spaces.
Exceptional UV properties and water resistance make it a great option for many places on a boat including doors, hatches, instrument panels, step and grab rails, and more. It can withstand long-term exposure to intense sun, salt water and cleaning products. It is durable, impact resistant and remains strong amid rigorous use and exposure to the elements.
Unlike plywood, Polygrain won’t delaminate, rot or splinter, and its integral colors hide scratches and marring that ruin painted surfaces. Its stain resistance, easy-to-clean matte finish and wide spectrum of integral colors further assure long lasting appearance and functionality.
In fabrication, it maintains exceptional flatness and dimensional stability for high production yields and fin¬ished part quality. Standard woodworking equipment works well with the material, and fabricators appreciate its advantages especially in thicker gauges for large flat, formed or machined panels.
