Retail Display Material for Demanding Environments
In today's fast-paced world, retailers need display units, fixtures and point-of-purchase displays that are attractive, functional, and show off products.
To meet this need, retailers are turning to clear, attractive display units and fixtures made of sheet of Eastman Chemical Company's Spectar® copolymer. It offers trans parency and clarity, and is tough and durable to withstand hazards and vandals. Spectar copolymer is typically 10 to 15 times tougher than general-purpose acrylic and 3 to 10 times tougher than impact-modified acrylic.
Unlike many transparent plastics, the copolymer is chemical resistant and will maintain its clarity when cleaned with most common cleaners or solvents. It can be thermoformed easily with deep, intricate contours, producing raised letters, custom shapes and 3-D effects. It can also be decorated using vinyl sheet, paint, hot-stamping or screen-printing techniques.
The cost-effective polymer is FDA Approved for food contact and actually becomes tougher in cold environments. It resists cracking and chipping, making it safe to saw and drill. It can also be die-cut, laser-cut, screwed, welded, nailed, riveted or bonded and can be bent hot or cold without crazing or whitening.
