IWF 2000 BREAKS RECORDS

IWF 2000 was the biggest event ever in the 34-year history of the International Woodworking Machinery and Furniture Supply Fair - USA. Verified attendance figures indicate that 29,260 buyers from 88 countries and 17,859 exhibitors attended, making the total overall attendance 47,119, up from 27,034 buyers and 46,702 overall in 1998.

The event was sell-out with 1,291 companies, 202 were new, filling 706,007 net square feet of exhibit space. In addition to seeing more exhibitors, buyers saw a more comprehensive display of both US and international woodworking machinery, supplies and services than any other trade show in the industry.

Winners for the internationally recognized Challengers Distinguished Achievement Award™ were selected during the event and among them were Giben America, Inc. and SawStop, Inc., SawStop™ Safety System for Table Saws.

The next IWF will take place August 22-25, 2002 in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia World Congress Center and will and showcase machinery, supplies and services for both large manufacturers and small professional shops in the woodworking, store fixtures, and plastic fabricating industries.
