Strip Heaters

Kamweld Technologies, Inc. offers a portable and lightweight electric tool for heating thermoplastic sheets so that they can be bent into straight-line bends. Consisting of two rectangular aluminum heating bars, two temperature control boxes and two base units, the electric heating elements are enclosed in the bars to provide for uniform heat distribution throughout the entire length.

The rectangular bars measure 1" x ½" (25 x 13mm), providing a choice of heating surfaces for different sheet thicknesses. Each bar has handles on the end for safe handling. The heating surfaces and variable temperature controls enable this unit to handle a variety of material in thicknesses up to ¼" (6.5mm). The heating device is available in three sizes to accommodate 28", 54" or 96" wide sheets of thermoplastic. The 28" model has a rating of 150 watts in each bar, the 54" model has a rating of 260 watts in each bar, and the 96" type has a rating of 485 watts in each bar. It requires only standard 120 volts AC.
