With the inevitable economic "recovery" still around the corner, many have felt some slow down and probably been frustrated by the extremely competitive pricing needed to win business today. Ultimately, if you want to keep your customers, you must keep them happy and not give them a reason to look somewhere else.
Our Association was founded to help fabricators do just that. From running your businesses better, to staying current on developments in machinery, tooling and fabricating techniques, one of our primary goals is to also help you market yourself to your customers. But we need your help.
As we finalize a number of programs and increase our list of services, we continue to look to our members, and future members, for feedback on the things you require most from your Association. From discounts on legal and accounting services to a discounted freight program, and health insurance programs, our goal is to provide you with the tools you need to succeed as fabricators, and as businesses, in today's competitive climate. By joining together as an industry, we can leverage our common interests and reduce our costs - helping each of us to be more efficient and profitable. We will all benefit from the old adage, "There is strength in numbers."
In order to help you be more competitive and save money, Edge Finisher Co., a Founding Member of the IPFA, is offering Members a 10% discount on all new equipment and new tooling purchases. As a manufacturer and supplier of edge finishing, edge polishing, and flame polishing equipment, and linear heat tables, their products offer fabricators the opportunity to increase part quality and shop productivity. The discount you can earn as a member of the IPFA will more than cover the cost of joining our growing association. For additional information, contact Darrell Bishop, Edge Finisher Co. at 800-625-5863. Also see Darrell's article entitled "Finishing What You Start".
Lastly, the association now offers a Fax on Demand Service for membership applications and information. By simply calling 630-980-4010 from your fax machine and pressing 02*, 11*, waiting for a tone and pressing "start", the information will be faxed directly to you. Additional information will soon be available on the programs we mentioned above as well as future workshops and seminars.
The IPFA was developed to provide our industry with a common voice. As plastic stock shapes fabricators today, we compete and source materials across town and around the world. We can all use a little help running our businesses better, purchasing products and services at competitive rates, and keeping current on the latest techniques in fabrication and developments in machinery and tooling for our industry. Add to that the ability of the Association to help you win more business, and the mix can not be beat. But to benefit, you have to get involved. Call the IPFA today at 630-980-4740 or try our new Fax on Demand service to learn more about what the IPFA has to offer you.
