Linear Strip Heaters
C.R. Clarke manufactures local line bending strip heaters in working lengths from 500 to 3,000 mm that use tensioned resistance heated wire systems to ensure extremely local, precise and even distribution of heat. They are ideal for bending acrylic, PVC, polystyrene, foam PVC, ABS, polycarbonate, PETG, polypropylene, polyethelene, PET and other thermoplastics.
The heated wire system encompasses three variables: the number of wires used (except 600, 500 & 920), the distance between the wires and the distance of the wires
from the face of the material.
The Stage 1 machine comes equipped with 1 control unit and 2 heater beams which can make 2 bends simultaneously using single sided heating or 1 bend using double sided heating. Up to 4 control units, each powering 1 double-sided heater beam (or 4 wires) can be included for fast multiple bending. Units include pneumatic clamping, work table with work stop calibrated in metric and imperial units and digital set timer to control cycle times/pneumatic clamp.
