Brown Posts Record Orders
Dick Lacana, President of Brown Machine LLC, has announced that the company achieved a record of $47 million in orders booked for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2002. "The past year was very rewarding and I’m happy to say the entire Brown Machine team is looking forward to 2003 to be an even better year," Lacana stated. "And perhaps the most significant part of ‘02 accomplishments is the diversity of orders booked relative to product applications served and their global distribution," he added.
During the past year Brown Machine landed orders for machines in 13
countries and in 21 U.S. states. Major orders for virtually every machine type
in the company’s product line were sold, including continuous thermoformers
and trim presses, form/cut/stack thermoformers, cut-sheet thermoformers
including rotary, double-enders and single station machines, custom in-line
and rotary thermoformers, product handlers, lip rollers, tooling, rebuilds, parts and field service.
Machinery orders booked in ‘02 encompassed all types of materials, including polystyrene, polypropylene, APET, polyethylene, EPS foam, PVC, ABS and barrier materials.
As a leader of innovations in thermoforming technologies and equipment with
more than 150 patents, Brown further expanded its equipment offerings in
2002 by booking 15 new-concept machines. Brown Machine designs, engineers
and manufactures a complete line of thermoforming equipment, including tool-ing. Brown Machine fully supports its capital equipment business with a full complement of 24-hour on-call service and parts capabilities.
