Plastic Idler Components
Standard and custom plastic idler components that eliminate the need for ball bearings and metal parts, making them ideal for applications requiring wash down or frequent exposure to corrosive materials, are being introduced by SLIDEWAYS, Inc.

The components feature a variety of sheaves, pulleys, rollers and roll end bearings made from various plastics, depending on the desired wear characteristics. Functionally equivalent to metal parts, they are quieter because there are no ball bearings and less expensive.

Made from UHMW which is a bearing-grade plastic, or Teflone to provide high heat and chemical resistance and nylon or MD-nylon for heavy-duty applications, SLIDE-WAYS Plastic Idler Components come standard as V-belt and round belt pulleys, blind- and through bore-idlers and roll end bearings. Custom components can include hubs, key ways, grooves and other requirements.
