Palram To Roof Olympic Stadium

Palram, the parent company of Suntuf, Inc., won a tender to supply the roofing of the main Olympic Stadium in Athens. The 90,000 seat stadium is being constructed especially for the 2004 Olympic Games. The 24,000 square meter roof will be constructed from 12 mm thick PALSUN® UV2 Solar Olympic hard coated polycarbonate sheets.

Palram developed a special product specifically suited to the local climatic conditions and the unique, original architectural design of the stadium. A major feature is that over 50% of solar heat energy will be reflected, important considering that many of the events will take place under the hot Greek summer sun.
