Extruders From Leister
Leister introduced a completely new line of handheld
extruders to the market at K 2004 in
Düsseldorf, Germany. Many technical
refinements never before implemented
for hand extruders are concealed
under the solid
housing.
The cooling
system
makes overheating
a thing
of the past. The brushless
motor in the hot air unit means it is maintenancefree.
The top of the line model WELDPLAST EC 4.0
(above) uses two brushless motors: one beside the hot
air unit, the other for the extruder screw.
Leister placed great importance on user-friendly handling
in the development of its new handheld extruders. Their
compact construction ensures quiet operation and hence a
new quality of working. The devices are also comfortable to
hold due to their optimal weight distribution. All the WELDPLAST
models offer a state-of-the art display suitable for
construction site conditions. The hot air supply can be conveniently
refitted, allowing for welding in the opposite direction.
Even the handle can be rotated – much to the joy of
lefthanders. The double-sided, twist-free welding rod feed
avoids problems associated with unrolling welding rod.
Extrusion rates vary between 4 and 6 kg/h for the
WELDPLAST models. A version for civil engineering is also
available - the WELDPLAST G6.0 – with granulate
funnel and another for process equipment
manufacture – the WELDPLAST
A4.0 – a device for use with
an external air supply.
Leister
rounds off
its broad
range with
the smaller models
FUSION 3.8 and WELDMAX.
