Maac Helps Educate The Next Generation
MAAC Machinery is working with
the SPE Thermoforming Division
putting together matching grants and
educational discounts for all College
and Educational organizations that
teach the thermoforming process or
are looking to further expand educational
courses to include the thermoforming
process.
With the funds raised by the SPE
Thermoforming Division, the SPE continually
promotes and supports a
matching grant to Universities of up to
$10,000. In addition MAAC Machinery
and several of its suppliers have
added to this matching grant by also offering an educational discount of up to $12,000. With
the grants and discounts, Universities have the ability to
purchase brand new thermoforming machines with a
value of $32,000 at a cost to them of only $10,000.
As the SPE is a non-profit organization, MAAC is also
able to offer this with the help of some of their suppliers.
Several Universities such as Illinois State, Millersville
University, University of Alabama, UMASS and many others
are taking full advantage of this educational offering.
Some are getting rid of older machinery, replacing it with
the latest features available like touch screen PLC’s,
ceramic ovens and infrared pyrometers. Other Universities
are adding courses offering related to strictly
thermoforming.
Paul Alongi, CEO of MAAC Machinery said, “By providing
the latest technology to today’s students, we feel this
will only help further the growth of our industry. It is programs
like this that make our industry so great.”
